Makati City (Philippines)

For many years I lived and worked in Makati City, and when I needed an outlet, after a long day of hard work, I took great joy in spoiling myself in all the incredible restaurants, shopping malls, and comedy clubs. I can honestly, and proudly say that Makati is in absolutely no danger of ever being left behind, especially when comparing this great city to all the other cities around the World.

makati-foodMakati is just one of the many beautiful placesĀ  the Philippines as to offer, and one of the many reasons a Filipino can be proud. As incredible as this city is, it’s just one of the many cities & municipalities that make up Metro Manila, and the Greater Metropolitan Area of the National Capital of the Philippines, and often referred to as the Financial Capital of the Philippines, since many global companies have their offices and headquarters in the city. This is also the home of the Influential Makati Business Club, as well as, the Philippine Stock Exchange.

Greenbelt restaurants, is the nicest place to meet people who live and work around the Makati area, I can’t even count the hours I’ve spent with friends and officemates here.

The Ayala Avenue in the picture is one of the busiest thoroughfares in Metro Manila, crossing through the heart of Makati’s central business district. Because of the many businesses located on the avenue, Ayala Avenue is aptly nicknamed the Wall Street of the Philippines. It is from Epifanio de los Santos Avenue to Metropolitan Avenue.

Fort Bonifacio in Makati, is the head quarters of the Philippine Army, and the Fort Bonifacio Global City is located near the country`s newest shopping and transportation hub called Market! Market!, a very nice shopping center, Where my Sister and I loved to have breakfast every weekend, after walking around the area. I can’t express enough how I’m looking forward to going back and living in Makati City, or at the very least, spending a week or so back to where so many good memories were created.
