1 egg
2 teaspoon sesame oil
2 cloves garlic chopped
2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon flour
2 medium onion
1 medium carrots chopped
1 to 2 packs of wanton wrapper
optional:
cheese and chopped shrimp
¨good for 10 persons¨
Procedure:
in one bowl, mixed all ingredients, pork, flour, pepper, salt, egg, carrots, garlic and onion optional cheese and shrimp.
used your clean hand to mix it well make sure it is mixed evenly, get a wanton wrapper and a spoon and scoop on exact 1 spoon on every wrapper not so big so it will be cooked easy.
used a steamer make sure the water on your steamer is not too much that will touch the siomai, place a wax paper in your steamer to avoid your siomai to stick in your steamer. simmer in 10 minutes.
serve with soy sauce, lemon and fried ground garlic.
Opinion:
This Chinese Dimsum is consider a street food in Philippines, and when i tasted this in China they put more vegetables in it and with a very strong smell and they put some baby bamboo or ¨labong¨, i`ve been to different Chinese restaurants in Philippines and Europe but the best siomai that i`ve tasted is the siomai in Philippines with the best flavor of soy sauce with fried garlic that i`ve tasted.
